The Machinery Is in Motion to Postpone the 2020 College Football Season...

And as a taxpayer in CT - I'm glad we are not playing ball if we aren't going to be afforded some reasonable legal curbs on a virus no one controls. I think heaviest straw on the proverbial camel which killed the season for the PAC and B1G. They maybe reluctant to ever discuss in the open as any discussion could set them up on other related claims.

I never said the student athlete shouldn't get medical for COVid, only that you can't sue the school for some form of "malpractice" and for damages if you get sick in this environment because absolute no one can stop it completely and no one has full understanding of what can happen both today and in the long run.

Now we are getting in the real stuff. On the one hand you have a valuable master insurance policy with big premiums, on the other hand you have a new type of risk in the market - COVid and do you adjust the policy premium and coverage for it? And its not clear that this policy insulates the schools from negligence suits, only that the schools have insurance $$ to cover long term medical.

This is entire liability/insurance matter is the big rub.
