Her journey is is the defintion of a Cinderella story. Before she joined Uconn, she was on a podcast called Still Winning in which her story made me even more of an obssessed Lou fan than I need to be. Unlike most international recruits (i.e Nika, Dorka, Jana) she misssed out on the opportunity to join the Basketball without Border camps, but eventually found a year long camp in Ireland where she improved her basketball skills and English. No one in her family played sports on a high level. Her American step-father played some college basketball, and he was able to help her send out videos to basketball college programs. According to the podcast, she didn't understand how American colleges or the programs worked, so her step-father was an integral part of helping her recruitment. And as they say, the rest is history! I would definitely give the podcast a listen.
