"Because they're final four teams from last year who are both on the bubble the next year", is your answer.
Valid point sir, but they're also two major bball programs who have a strong history of making the tournament along with Top 10 tournament success in the last decade.

Maybe being on the outside looking in right now will make us hungry...
I don't know if you missed the Boatright quote but he sure looked determined in the second half Sunday.

That just isn't true, but whatever. That would mean UConn would have about 7 top 50 wins, maybe more.
-We have THREE wins vs the RPI top 100. (3-7 overall)
-We have no wins or losses from RPI 100-150
-7 remaining games vs RPI top 100 (4 on the road)
-The other 5 games are all vs RPI 150+ teams...RPI killers win or lose

I think if we go 5-2 in those 7 vs the RPI top 100 (especially if we win @smu) we get an at large. 4-3 (7-10 vs top 100 teams overall) and I think we're on the outside looking in bc of the other 5 games being so bad for our overall RPI.

We are 1-5 when playing at 9 pm under Ollie. @SMU and both Memphis games are at 9, with the Temple game still without a time.

And because that sample size is so big, we might as well quit now.

We need to beat SMU (at least once), Cincinnati, and Tulsa. Without these wins, we have no RPI Top 25 wins and would be like 3-11 vs. the RPI Top 100 not counting Memphis/Temple. So we win those games and say we're 5-11 vs the RPI Top 100 and 1-5 vs the Top 25. That's not good enough.

This isn't the Big East, you can't go 19-11 or 20-10 with no quality wins and expect an at-large bid. We're gonna need to beat SMU, Cincinnati, Tulsa, Memphis, and Temple. And we cannot drop games to teams.

What about our play demonstrates that we are playing at a level that deserves an at large bid? The talent is there to sneak in, but the resume is lacking with little left on the schedule to help our cause.

We need to win just about all our remaining conference games and probably make it to the AAC Championship game to even have a chance to get a bid. We also need the rest of the pile of bubble teams to struggle as much if not more than we have. The problem is many bubble teams are in one of the Big 5 conferences with remaining games against teams that will help their resumes.
Basically everything in this post is wrong except the fact we aren't playing at a level that deserves an at large bid right now.

Both of those road games are at 8 for the players.

Exactly. Like I said, go 5-2 vs the RPI top 100 games we have remaining and that puts us at 8-9 overall vs the top 100 and 21-9 on the season. This should be good enough to get an at large bid and sneak in the tourny
