Was 2013-14. We all know what happened that year.

they started the year with wins vs Maryland, BC, Indiana, and Florida in those first 9 games. They had a close loss in game 10, 53-51 to Stanford, then beat Washington.

The other times UConn started with 9 wins or more:

1998-99 = 19-0 *championship
1994-95 = 15-0 *elite 8
2008-09 = 11-0 *final four
2005-06 = 11-0 *elite 8 (god that team, ughhhh)
2006-07 = 11-0 *we don't talk about this team.
1991-92 = 11-0 *2nd round
2010-11 = 10-0 *championship
2002-03 = 9-0 *Sweet 16
2013-14 = 9-0 *championship
2022-23 = 9-0 * ??

03-04 got crushed in their 4th game but bounced back nicely as we all know.

But if history has anything to say, there is a good chance we are looking, at the very least, at a sweet 16 team and more than likely even elite 8 At least.

Anyway, yes, I know I know, let's enjoy the ride and have fun in the moment, and yes I know history is history for a reason and maybe it means nothing, or maybe it does, who knows. Just the same, This team is matching some of the all-time best teams' early success, that's for sure.

**1993-94 was an 8-0 start and ended in heartbreak in the S16, however. 2006-07 went off the rails quickly

I moved to CT in 1979. I think the 1980 team started like 10-0.
Checked.

Ya, 80-81 started 11-0 before fading down the stretch to finish the regular season 19-7, lost the 1st round of the BET and 2nd round of the NIT to finish 20-9.
