Okay, I'm too commercial, but this is my fav from the Eagles:

Who sang "Lyin' Eyes"?

Glenn sang lead on that but even then much of the verses' phrasing featured Don on harmony rather than just Glenn alone. Choruses of course were one of the many examples of the Eagles full-band multi-part harmonies

Thanks. That was one of the greatest of the greats in my book. College days, or just after.

The report indicates he had been a very sick man. Blessings to all touched by his loss and grace be with them.

So bummed. I was just talking to MilfordH and commented that losing musicians like this hits closer to home since the music seems like a part of my/our past, not just his/theirs.

Obviously the music sticks around forever (thank goodness) but it's a loss just the same.

Wow and wow again did not expect this one. A big favorite of mine although I do have many. I know many will play tribute here with Eagles tunes as they should but I really appreciated how diversified he was.

Saw him with the Eagles and also with his own band later as an opener for Tina Turner at The Civic Center. He had four guitars in the band and I thought this will never work. I could not have been more wrong! He had them dancing in the isles and everyone on their feet including myself. Can't find a live version which this can't touch but the best I can do for now. He did not steal the show from Tina but he had the house warmed up well!

Holy Cow. I knew he was sick and that's why they didn't go to the Kennedy Center honers but I didn't see THIS coming. R.I.P. Glenn

Anyone else actually stand on THEE corner in Winslow, Arizona? I had the pleasure by chance on a cross country road trip right after graduation in '99. Most of my favorite Eagles songs were Glenn Frey vocals, Peaceful Easy Feeling and Take it Easy (co-wrote by Jackson Browne) among them.

It's on my bucket list. On my first trip to California--as a starving grad student in 1972--I heard "Take It Easy" several times on the AM radio in the car, including as we were cruising down Route 66 in Winslow. It was a perfect confluence of events.

The artwork--standing on the corner, with guitar, and the flatbed Ford.

RIP. One of my favorites from his time away from the Eagles. (sorry couldn't find a live act on YouTube)
