Mater Dei avenges their loss from last year 60-44. They move on to the regional championship, probably in another matchup with Chaminade.

KLS finished with 30 points, 9-9 from the foul line.

Lou was just announced the National Player of the Year by Gatorade. She won the California Gatorade POY within the past two weeks.
Mater Dei had a surprise award presentation for her, probably as we are speaking. I believe the entire school was brought into the gym, while Lou's class was held back for about 20 minutes. She was told she would go to the gym for something else.
There is supposed to be a guest athlete or celebrity to present the award to her. I believe KML got the same award and presentation by Lisa Leslie, 4 years ago.

Watched the game. Lou was throwing up threes from all over the court. She made at least one from what looked like 8-10 feet behind the arc. Swished it. Really looking forward to seeing her in blue and white. She did some daredevil driving also.

Elena MAY have been wearing heels of some sort. It's hard to tell. In the video of Rebecca interviewing EDD after Delaware's win over UNC, Elena is taller than Rebecca. Rebecca may be shrinking a bit with age, but I think she's still close to 6'5". I'd like to see Elena stand next to Big Syl. I wonder if she's pushing 6'6"? I think Lou is a legit 6'3", from what people say. I bet she's 4-5" taller than Kaleena.

Ya the pleated skirt evokes the "Catholic school plaid skirt" image, only with a hoodie. (I don't think they wear heals with those plaid skirts)
