But Krzyzewski doesn't want the ACC stop at 14. He said he'd like to see the league grow to 16 teams, taking two more schools that have comparable rich basketball traditions and are in the Eastern time zone.

Maybe JC will be our savior...

Will Herbst get this nonsubtle hint??
Coach K ergo Duke just said we want you.

He could have said no comment. He could have refused the interview. But he didn't.

Unfortunately basketball has little saying in all of this. Anyway, it was nice of coach K to hint that ACC needs to add more basketball powers. I guess RU is out then LOL.

Not looking good for Exit 9 to make the jump, then...

No, not driven by basketball..but this is the ACC. Duke and UNC rule that conference. Coack K rules the Duke AD.

Of course will Herbst take the hint or does she need to be clubbed over the head with this.

This is about as an unsubtle way to make your preference known.

He could be referring to WVU and Louisville and Cincy.......Not Rutgers......

"I think the leadership in our conference is doing a great job of getting ahead. It's good thinking, especially if everything goes down with these two schools that have great athletic programs"

Sigh.

At first it sounded like a "If you can't beat'em, get them to join you" article.

And how different this is than K's reaction several years ago when Miami and VT and BC were joining. Back then he was like, PeeeeUUUUUUUUUU"
