I'm a bit surprised they took Louisville over USF

"... Ultimately, though, the Bulls were undone by a No. 66 RPI, a strength of schedule that ranked 139th and several non-conference defeats against state opponents Bethune-Cookman, North Florida, Jacksonville and Stetson that prevented USF from reaching the 40-victory mark.

St. John's (37-21) and Louisville (39-20, No. 42 RPI, regular-season conference co-champions) were selected from the Big East.

Also hurting USF's cause: Missouri (32-26) unexpectedly won the Big 12 tournament to claim an automatic bid and knock out an at-large hopeful. Michigan State (37-21) claimed a Big Ten at-large bid. Meanwhile, Ole Miss (35-24) earned an at-large bid out of the SEC, despite losing six times in its last seven games. Indiana State (41-17) claimed an at-large bid from the Missouri Valley Conference."

Last Northeastern team to make the CWS was Maine in 1986.

Not looking good this year either, with St John's as the only non-#4 seed.
