It's a Friday and Halloween is tomorrow. All the students are getting drunks chasing coeds and a bunch of people won't want to drive for fear of a DUI. It's not too surprising that the stadium is empty

This is all sad pathetic BS. Sad crowd. I am disappoint

What do you mean sad crowd? Everyone I ran into had was having a ball. The crowd was very happy.

I should haven taken a video of Pudge dancing in his seat next to you. Yes we were all very happy.

Screw the fair weather fans. Their loss.

Yeah the 15k great fans spoke.

That was a dance on ECU's grave.

Who knew that this night game would coincide with a game 3 of the World Series.
Well, everyone. But not with the Mets. Tailgated from 5-7 after rushing home from work early, and left game early to watch the WS. Very happy tonight.
The D rebounded well and wow, Arkeel. nice.
Mets killing it too.. 3 more outs.

Those who went were rewarded.
Good times tonight in East Hartford.

And no cop trouble on the way home.
Bonus!

So true. I wish there were more people there tonight, but there was a great vibe all night.

Attendance: 23,168

Less than I thought. I had a blast, too, like others here. Great showing by the team.

Here's hoping we beat Tulane and go to 5-5 playing for bowl eligibility against a potentially undefeated Houston team. At that point there's no excuse not to hit 35K.

I haven't had this much fun at the Rent in YEARS. What a great game. Complete beating and we seemed to have gotten stronger as the game went on. Wish there were more fans in the stands but I guess a few folks needed to see a W first. Well, it's here. Time to circle the wagons for the Houston game.

Night before Halloween, team coming off of a blowout/losing 5 of 6, Mets WS, 5 yrs of losing, no regional opponent, it's to be expected. Build it and they will come...Bob is doing it

Had a GREAT time last night. Left the game very late in the 4th quarter (@ 3minutes left) for a variety of reasons. Those who chose NOT to go, it's their loss. The 6 year old grandson of a couple in my crew had a blast!

We have sat through hell for 95% of that child's life. Glad you guys had a good time. Who will be in New Orleans? Leaving Friday.

This. Whenever I read about someone taking young kids to a game, I think that is future. That little guy is going to associate seeing a UConn football with fun (just as we all did before HCPP, but I digress.) It's a pain in the butt with inconvenient bathroom and food breaks but well worth it when you see the light go on in a kids eyes and see them screaming their heads off after a good play or yelling noooo after a bad one. It's the future.

Not sure anybody can be surprised about the attendance last night. Lost a hugely demoralizing game to USF at Homecoming and then got destroyed by Cincy. No real reason to think it was going to be a great game for us in cold weather, but I had a total blast. Plus, since nobody was there, I was able to sit in Section 242 and enjoy those fancy chairbacks. Maybe the attendance sucked, but for those who came, it was an awesome time and the best home win I can remember since Memphis two years ago?

If Houston isn't at least 35,000 then shame on UConn fans

My inability to speak today says a lot about last night. We made up for the poor attendance by making more noise than we have all year. We yelled and hollered a lot. We did our best to drink all the beer, too. Great tailgate, great chili dogs, corn hole, cold beer and a pretty solid win with better game management, aggressive D and improved OL play. That was the most enjoyable night in years. Completely worth the "morning after tailgate cleanup" headache and the beat up vocal cords.
