I'd never heard of this term before but clicked on the link in an article about ESPN banning Bill Simmons from Twitter for a few days.
The basic premise is that some teams play better without their superstar (based on Ewing's GTown and Knick histories). The guy who came up with the theory is a huge UConn fan and mentions UConn's success after Donyell left early.
Anyhow, I'm actually watching the World Baseball classic because it makes me sick to watch a UConn-free postseason. It's an older article but I found it interesting.
