It happens every year after Selection Sunday. It’s human nature. Defend your turf. The scope of where your from widens. Fans proud of their neighborhood.
My Sliders & Curveballs Pod cohost, Joseph (11) asked after basketball practice Sunday night, Dad, “Did #UConn get the #1 overall & what seed did Seton Hall get?” #BigEast
It’s obvious to a kid. Two things he was expecting, just wanted confirmation.
When you select, AD’s to make these choices, they may leave the room, for their schools, but are naturally part of tv network deals and conferences. It’s so subjective and odd. The only sport that requires part performance, part politics, part beauty pageant.
Joe says, “you filling out your bracket yet?”
“I did son. I want 67 teams to crash and burn, while UConn rolls.”
