Just received my tix for the AAC tourney at Mohegan Sun. Does anyone know who gets the 'good' seats? Yeah, yeah - I read that part where is says UConn has no control over the seats they get. This is getting really old though. In the past, after purchasing tickets well in advance, I have been able to buy much better seats the day of the games.
I've been a season tix holder since 1980 (and have a fair number of 'points' bought n paid for) and it looks like these are about the last row of the 1st section behind the basket.
Major suck!

When UCONN was in the Big East I got Providence College season tickets ($40. / year) and ordered the tournament tickets through them. I got center court, lower level seats at the XL every year. I got my tickets yesterday and the seats are in one of the corner sections. Not Happy.

I still haven't gotten over the horrible tickets I received for Rhode Island. It may well be out of the control of UConn, but they need to know that customers are unhappy. As an aside, last time I was asked to donate, I did, but told them my donation level was down due to the ticket issue. They were sympathetic, said they would arrange for someone to call me, but no one called.

I went on-line about a month ago after seeing a billboard along 95 in Bridgeport sponsored by Mohegan Sun promoting the AAC tournament. I could not believe that the only remaining seats were in the corners... No sale here...

It will be interesting to see if the unavailable center court seats will mysteriously reappear just before the tournament... Or even worse go unfilled because schools turn them back...

TV for me...

Well my mother-in-law still thinks they shoot at peach baskets but I'm wondering if she can parlay all those Mohegan slots points into some nice seats. Wouldn't surprise me if that's how it's done up there.

I would indeed expect tickets turned back in by the schools. But to start with, they have to reserve equal parts of the pie for everyone - that is how it works. Or at least equal parts of the "good" seats, I suppose they could give extra to a school against a guarantee, but only "x" amount would be good seats. (I think they count on excess UConn fans buying the tix not reserved for the schools).

This is not unique to UConn or this tourney. "Season" tix for Maggie Dixon classic one year were scattered and irrelevant to where you sat at the RAC or your donation level. You want to hear a stink??

You need to complain to the AAC not Uconn. AAC controls the tournament.

The gress isn't always greener. No doubt the casino controls a big chunk of the good seats.

I am not a Uconn season ticket holder but tried to get seats through a contact At Mohegan Sun when it was first announced that they were available. She told me all lower level seats were reseerved for the schools, and maybe we could get some closer to Tournament time, when the schools turn them back in. She called me back last week with 3 available seats in section 26. I grabbed them. I wonder who turned them back. It was interesting though that she had only 3 seats to offer.
