Did anyone notice the court was flipped during renovations? I attended the Southern Connecticut exhibition. For years I'd had a seat that faced the home basket during the second half, and faced both teams' benches across the court. Now I face the home basket during the first half and see the backs of both teams' benches.

Was any reason given for doing this? Am I the only one who noticed the difference?

I am pretty sure that this was mentioned in a thread or two, most likely the Postgame thread. I remember it being discussed and I have never been to the venue.

They announced this last year. They flipped it because of the location of the new locker room in the arena, so that the UConn bench is near where they built it.

Did anyone tell season ticket holders prior to seat selection? I don't recall it ever being mentioned.

Since we’re talking about courts, has anyone seen the TCU court? I watched a little of their game last week and felt like someone had slipped me a mickey!

My recollection is that they did mention it. It was definitely apparent on the computer graphics where the "click on the dot" seat selection occurred.

I mentioned the flip in a previous thread. If it was mentioned prior to the (re)seat selection, I didn't notice it. If I had a choice seat behind the UConn bench (I don't) and now found myself behind the visitor's bench, I might be a little peeved. I'm disappointed that this whole thing was not a class act. UConn used to be classy.

Question:
Is the court in People's Bank Arena also known as "The People's Court?"
