in today's win over the Liberty - with a big, goodly dash of Kara Lawson thrown in (isn't she an honerary Husky?)

Liberty are eliminated, and the Sun move on in the playoffs for the first time!!!

Sorry - score was 75-62
At one point NY had a huge lead over Connecticut, but the last two quarters belonged to the Sun
Tina with a huge double-double, Kara had 15 points, and Rene and Ajsha coming up big in the 4th

The Liberty continue to prove themselves a very inept franchise. I would give them "the" award, but Washington, Atlanta and a couple of other teams are in the arguement I think.

The Sun have been in the playoffs before. In fact the Sun once were in the finals.... But if I am not mistaken they lost the best of five to Seattle...

I think the Sun closed the game out on a 14-point run to win by 13. Nice crunch time performance. The MVP is really tough.

The Sun were in the finals twice in back to back years. First they lost to Seattle in 2004, in a series highlighted by the Game 2 Nykesha Sales vs. Betty Lennox shootout at the Key Corral, then again the following year against Sacramento.

This is the first time since 2006 they've advanced in the playoffs, I believe.

All the pieces are there, and the MVP is playing her heart out. A huge cheer to Kara Lawson for her work, and to the rest of the Sun as well. Looking forward to their next step
