UConn content at about 13:50.

Auror summarized this in the Meleek Thomas thread.

To recap, Finkelstein thinks we get three guys either 2 g and 1 big or 1 g, 1 wing, 1 big.

Guards:
Mullins
Thomas
Lewis
Adams
Burries

Wings:
Yessoufou
Ament
Aristode
Greer

Bigs:
Reibe
Bundalo

Certainly subject to variability regarding the interest we get from some of these guys, but this is the net we have cast as of this point.

my ideal gets would be mullins ament and reibe. acaden lewis is very intriguing as well. he is very shifty and can manipulate defense, reading the floor etc. would be very good fit.

For 1 recruit, Branham mentions we're going against UNC, Mich St, Kentucky, and 1 or 2 more for said player, as if the 2-time defending champions are 2nd tier to them. Mich St? Really?

Good overall breakdown. I do think taking 3 guys makes sense - I think this is probably the new formula in the transfer portal era unless we end up in a position where we know we're definitely going to have a minimum of 5 guys leaving, as we know Danny prefers to only take 1-2 transfers in the cycle ideally.

While Meleek is still in play, it feels like he is becoming a little more of a long shot as of late. Would love a Lewis/Mullins/either Bundalo or Reibe class right now.

I want Lewis. #1 priority IMO. Multi-year player and a winner.

Give me Mullins too.

Yessoufou is an enigma on rhe court, but he's a winner and 4-year guy. So also... sign me up. Get him a shooting coach.

Reibe is my guy for a big. Shoots 3s and dunks. And he's huge. We've done well with huge.

Interesting hearing Burries, he’s not mentioned much when these shows talk about us.

Yeah Fink and also Dauster a bit back mentioned him for us. The staff did watch him at Peach Jam, but seemingly not as much as other guys and he hasn't scheduled a visit with us yet (though I don't think he's made his fall visits public yet).

IMO-Other than Thomas- Dan and staff seem to have invested a lot time and resources in the recruitment of Mullins(SG) and Lewis(CG). Tells me that they are top priority 2025 targets . Either one (or both) would be great adds to the roster. Thomas is a wildcard for 2025-He may be waiting for dominos to fall at other Programs before making his decision and scheduling any additional OVs.

Reibe-Cenac-Bundalo-Ament provide strong options for the 4/5 slot. Muurinen in 2026 is intriguing.

Not sure how Lewis fits a need on this roster next year with Nowell here. A smallish PG doesn’t seem like a requirement in this cohort. Go get your PG in waiting the following class as he’ll have 1-2 years to learn under AN.

If I was ranking wish list in order:

Nate Ament
Meleek Thomas
Braylon Mullins
Nico Bundalo
Reibe
Darius Adams

I feel many of the other names are backups or in the periphery versus targets.

Haven’t heard much on us and Cenac, other than we are on his cut down list of 50. He strikes me as a kid that is gonna land in the SEC as he’s deep in that backyard. Not keeping hopes up there.

Don't disagree with you on Cenac as a priority focus by us- Certainly has game. We are not lacking for choices at the 4/5 and we continue to have high upside with the wings/SFs currently on our roster.BTW- I understand that Ament's natural position- despite his height- is as a SF.

1) Multiple PGs isn't a bad thing. In fact, it's pretty stupid not to have at least 3 potential lead guards. We have 3 on the roster right now.

2) Lewis isn't a small PG. He's 6'3 and maybe 180 with another year to grow. He's also good enough that it would be really stupid not to recruit him if there's interest and he fits our culture. He's currently well underrated in the 30-40 range. He's one of, what 3? players in the class to have offers from all 5 blue bloods. That isn't an accident.

3) Lewis is a priority. IIRC he, Thomas, and Mullins are the only guys we watched every game we could this last live period for 2025s.

One Center domino falling this week, may be a catalyst for others given the scarcity of the position

Indiana, UNC, or Kentucky would be good for us as they're also recruiting Reibe.

The interesting thing though is that he was set to visit Indiana next week with his teammates Mullins and Sisely. Hoosiers trying to do the big local visit to lock them all up. But now Moreno is committing a few days before that. All rumors pointing to Kentucky convincing him not to go on that visit.

Can only be good news for us with Mullins if Indiana's position is slightly weakening.

I also recall reading Mullins and Moreno play on the same Indiana based AAU team. There was some thought that one might follow the other.

I just edited in more thoughts on that lol.

It will be interesting to see where the Boozer brothers end up- Duke or Miami appear to be who they're deciding between. Having Cayden chose Scheyer certainly wouldn't hurt our chances with Lewis.

moreno is a kentucky kid so this isn't surprising. idk how serious kentucky was on reibe, probably not that serious of a threat.

Lewis is a slightly smaller multi year version of Thomas. He has a different game than Nowell.
I'd take Lewis, Mullins and Riebe.

Not sure a 6’2” 2G alongside a 6’ PG is the recipe in the day of guarding the 3pt line. Part of our secret sauce last year and the prior year was length across the 1-3.

Give me a little size at the 2 as an option, because next year our assortment would be small with Mahaney, Nowell and Solo.

Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright on line 1 for you
