Those cant be final products? Did the NCAA win the Championship or did the Huskies? Where is our logo?

If I was one of the players, and that's the actual ring.... I'd give it back, looks like doo doo

What's with the big NCAA in the middle? Who are we, the Connecticut Fighting Mark Emmerts?

Has to be fake

This just in. As a result of the NCAA's continued persecution of UConn men's basketball, the program was not allowed to have any bling on the championship rings. The rings were chosen from a stock set of rings from the 1950s that the NCAA had laying around. And Napier just Instagrammed Emmert a picture of his middle finger with the ring on it.

Here is Wisconsins final four ring. Apparently being in the B1G gets you better rings than being in the AAC.

Makes no sense....there doesn't appear to be a single mention of UConn or Huskies or anything

They suck

They do suck but seems like a statement ring. Oh well.

They look like mood rings... A black stone means stressed, nervous & tense.
And a big ole "NCAA" stamped in the middle of it.
This could only mean one thing, we're doomed by the NCAA. Ugh...

These can't be real. If so, I assume they are simply the ring bases with the UConn logo/bling to be attached in place of the NCAA logo

I tweeted that my guess is they get one ring from the NCAA and one ring from the school. Kyle Muncy favorited my tweet which I assume means that I am correct.

and the NCAA's plan is to be the ring that is never featured or worn? It's so plain and awful, and is there any mention of UConn/Huskies that I'm just overlooking?

anyone know where I can get a replica of 99, 04 and/or 2011 rings? finding UConn merch is soo difficult compared to other schools ugh

If you wanted to summarize to an uninformed person the stupidity with which the NCAA brass runs their organization, you need only present to that person this ring.

It's generic.
It aggrandizes the NCAA instead of the team.
It looks cheap.
It's not distinctive.
It doesn't indicate or suggest the sport . . .

But it's worst failing is that . . .

It's ugly.

Seriously. Mustache-on-a-woman ugly.

I would have loved to see their faces.......all these rings you see growing up. Super bowl rings, national championship rings all encrusted with jewels and you open the box and see a snazzy Josten's high school ring that says you have just celebrated 20 years of working for the NCAA. Not a jewel on the .

I'm gonna guess Bazz, Giff & TO have flashed their 2011 Championship school rings in the past & they've also seen the lame NCAA rings before. But hey, it's the best Purvis, Boat & Facey have until they get the big bling rings from the school this fall.

Explanation from Kyle Muncy:

Each of the final 4 tms get ring from NCAA. Champs gold and others silver. School ring comes in the fall.

I read this in another article today and thought it was pretty interesting in light of the $415 limit on championship rings -

"in the 1870s, the winners of an intercollegiate rowing regatta on Lake Saratoga were given silver goblets worth $500—this at a time when the average annual wage in the U.S. was $300."

The article is definitely worth reading if you have the time
