Contracts also get rolled over/extended all the time as they go. Coaches like to have 5-year deals so they can tell recruits they'll be there for their whole careers. Ollie will likely be extended, if not 2015, then 2016 and perhaps those buyout numbers will roll over.
Somehow Hathaway got a rolling five-year deal too, which made his buyout more expensive. How he pulled that off, I have no idea. As if the AD needs to convince recruits he's going to be there five years.

This contract does not go into effect until 6/1/14. Obviously KO is going to accept an NBA job within the next week.
