Great, like I need more of Joe D. Man, why can't they just do what works. Two lady huskies performing the interview. It gives a better perception that the students are talking the hype and into it. This just screams of a wanna be celebrity being used way too much.

I couldn't agree more with that. Give the airtime and experience to a UConn kid. Joe D is the worst. My next door neighbor was a journalism student in Storrs and had a particular disdain for Joe D after interacting with him.

Well, let me be a contrarian. While the "scenery" was demonstrably better when the ladies were the hosts, I like this Blitz better. It signals a degree of seriousness within the program. Most of the big time P-5 schools use their broadcaster for their weekly preview show. Once we get re-established on the football scene we can morph back, but having the younger set do this now, whether male or female, in my opinion would serve to soften the impression we want the world to have of our rapidly improving big time football program.

Actually clicked on it. Females / no females. It was ok. The know your foe kid needs to get a job. Adams looks like the real deal. I think he can stick as an nfl player. I would say over Obi.

Joe D is a pro and he brings a certain polish to the presentation. But I have to agree, Emily and Erica were much easier on the eyes and with a little tutelage from the big dog could polish up the questioning and over all presentation. I'm not particularly fond of showing the average UConn student as borderline knowledgeable on the Friend or Foe segment. Maybe Erica is just on temporary wedding or maternity leave??? Maybe she got a better gig(though what could top being on the ground floor of the next TCU or Boise St explosion onto the football scene?). Maybe she didn't want to stick around for another bowl-less season...

Although I'm not a huge Joe D (or DC, usually) fan, I also thought this came across as more professional and polished than in the past. It was relatively enjoyable, and Andrew did well for himself.
And as a bonus, Des didn't mention Syracuse once.

I think this is well done. I like Joe D, he is a bit of a homer but I think he should be to a point. One of the things I noticed is when they are wrapping up and it is just Joe D and Dez. If you notice the 'UConn" name and logo are perfectly centered between the two of them. It is a nice touch and the mark of a quality production. I say.. job well done.
