The Big East May Be Our Home For A While

I think what’s left of my long term memory of this is because the UConn stadium was too small or something like that?
Something like that. Originally the Connecticut "home games" in the 10 game series were going to be played at NFL stadiums in NY (well, actually New Jersey) and Boston (well, actually Foxboro). The state legislature got involved and eventually this deal fell apart. Ultimately, I think it would have benefited us. I feel as if some reason reasonable compromise could've been made ending up with a home/away/neutral neutral site deal.

UConn TV market is very interesting for leagues like Big12, and (don't laugh) the new PAC8? UConn is Hartford, but it also brings NYC and Boston eyes
The Hartford/New Haven DMA is somewhere around the 30th or 33rd largest one in the country. But, as you point out, that doesn't include Fairfield County, which accounts for about 1/3 of the population of the state or roughly 1,000,000 people.

Ha ha. Yeah the sun comes up every day. A fact. And it has about as much relevance as what you stated. Just realize it was a silly, ridiculous comment to make and move on.
Bye, Felicia,
