Congratulations to St. Johns, this win was not a fluke, they played great basketball. Also need to say Congratulations to the Big East as a whole. Wow, 9 legitimate teams that could compete with the best in the country. This loss hurt but there are no excuses, we were outplayed and the better team in this game won. Let's learn from this loss, practice smarter and harder and move on.

I agree, St. Johns played a great game. My congrats to them they deserved it. How we respond will be telling of what is to come in the tournament.

I believe the Big East is the toughest conference in WBB. That is why I am sometimes surprised that many of you don't seem to really respect many of the other teams in the conference, with the exception of ND (whom many of you believe you can blow out at home or on a neutral court). I was somewhat surprised that St John's beat UConn last night, but not shocked. They are a mature and well coached team, with good players, who play well together as a team. ND is the same, albeit with even more talent. IMHO, UConn has the most talent of any team in the country and the best coach, but they are not as mature and you don't have the one superstar player this year to consistently take over the game. So, on any given day, they could stumble. I am sure this game will be a great teaching tool and Geno will use it to motivate them to play even harder. Just as I'm sure Muffet did after their loss to WV. Your game on the 27th should be a great one and I am looking forward to watching it.

Very well said.
