I just finished reading this book and it primarily talks about the Big East in the 1980s. It mentions about the 1999 champions but only gives a sentence to the 2011 champions and the five games in five days. However, I'd highly reccomend the book. Again it's called The Big East by Dana ONeil.

The book does a good job on the 1999 national championship but not as good with the 2004 champs and one line in the timeline for the 2011 champs.

If you’re an old school Big East fan it’s a good read. If your strictly a UConn fan not such a good read.
If you're an old school BE fan looking for a book that glosses over UConn, I suggest the original:

At least it was written by a reporter who was there.

Speaking of reporters who were there, I always enjoyed reading Ken Davis’s UConn coverage in the 90s on the infrequent occasions the Courant could be found in Stamford. He took a big hit with that Syracuse Post-Standard plagiarism black mark.

Great read for the old school Big East fan with an interest in the origins of the Big East and the unique relationship the coaches had in forming the most unique and strongest basketball league out there at that time.
