Did any of you watch the game? When we pressed and chased they got wide open threes or lay ups.
After the 13-0 run, UConn sat back off the ball, let ND do nothing, and simply got between their man and the basket. The ND offense stagnated. That produced the comeback.
Playing them tight allowed too many opportunities for one man to get beat and then we were chasing the rest of the possession. So IMHO, you can throw all those we needed to press posts in the garbage.
