Today I took the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen approximately five miles down river to visit the Chalmette Plantation battlefield. They played this song as we docked.
The National Park Service employee narrative of the battle reminded me a little bit of the WWII battle of Midway storyline. The British seemed to have almost everything to their advantage at Chalmette, but boldness and virtually all the breaks went our way.
Hope the football team gets a few more breaks tomorrow night than they have been.
Encouraged to see more UConn gear worn on the streets of New Orleans than I expected.
