The Basketball Tournament

Seeing a lot of this on social media lately. I know Cuse alum have a team of players they're trying to get into the tournament. Anyone know much on this? Would be pretty cool to see a UConn team.

I think there was a team with a bunch of UConn alum on it in one of the previous iterations of this event, or one similar to it at least. I'll see if I can find the article...

Maybe just Boone and Majok. Would be great to see a bunch of others join in. Hell, throw Ray Ray and Rip in there at this point.

Thanks for the article. I think throw in Khalid and Rashad and you have yourself a fun team. Maybe Boat if he's not in Summer League at the time.

Florida Gulf Coast's Dunk City team is getting back together for this.

Also, this little nugget:
Another team generating some buzz brings a Syracuse lineup including Hakim Warrick, Eric Devendorf, Donte Greene and Rick Jackson. The ex-Orangemen were the first team to secure enough fan support to qualify for the field. And rumor has it that arch-rival UConn is assembling players to compete with them.

Based on the names Syracuse is getting, I can see players like Marcus Williams, Jerome Dyson, Denham Brown, Rashad Anders...OMG THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

Just got off phone with Sticks he has not been contacted by anyone regarding playing in The Basketball Tournament. He is in Alabama as of now and working at the local YMCA while waiting to come up to CT to work the summer bball camps at storrs.

Said he would love to play in the tournament if asked. Was contacted last year by a team but was still recovering from his achilles surgery and was unable to play.
