The odds of winning take into consideration who is in your bracket. To me the Texas region is wide open and if you are with South Carolina or UConn you have only one path and it is through the favorite. In the end the total can only add up to 100%.I think those numbers are crazy.........I really don't see Duke or Texas could have better odds to win it than UCLA, USC or ND.......I'd be much more comfortable with UConn being tucked into the middle of the pack rather than the favorite.......
It is inconceivable to me that Duke is favored, especially by such a margin, over Notre Dame, UCLA, & USC! Not saying they couldn’t win, but I would pick all three of those teams as more likely champions than Duke. They do have a scary defense, one that may win them a championship in the next few years, but at present, I just don’t think they have enough offense. I do believe in Kara Lawson though, and it would not surprise me in the least to see them win a chip in the next five years!UCONN 24% chance of winning championship
South Carolina 22%
Texas 15%
Duke 12%
Notre Dame 7%
UCLA 6%
USC 5%
others 9%
FF Prediction based on the brackets: UConn vs. UCLA, and SC vs. uNd (Speedy guards overcome Tallness this year until SC in OT);It is inconceivable to me that Duke is favored, especially by such a margin, over Notre Dame, UCLA, & USC! Agreed............I've seen Duke a bunch of times this season and their offense has been less than stellar in most of them......It is inconceivable to me that Duke is favored, especially by such a margin, over Notre Dame, UCLA, & USC! Some play the horse, others the jockey. The order ( not percentages) looked to be almost based on coaching experience and success in the tournament) U$C should be higher.
That was their issue last year against us. Our defenses cancelled out basically, but our offense managed to top theirs. It is inconceivable to me that Duke is favored, especially by such a margin, over Notre Dame, UCLA, & USC! Yeah, that makes it even more interesting/baffling. UCLA is the only team from their bracket with odds reported. So they're saying Duke has better odds of defeating South Carolina AND winning two more games in the final four than UCLA does of getting to the final four and winning those two games. I like defense, so give Duke a bit more respect than some other folks do, but I don't give them much of a chance to get past South Carolina, then, say, Texas and UConn. The odds of winning take into consideration who is in your bracket.
