I disagree with you, we should be relying on our best players. Those other guys should provide more than the role players we had those other seasons you referenced.If this is a much deeper and more versatile team then we should expect more production from the other 6-7 guys in the rotation and not need to be so reliant on those two.
Or we need 2-3 other guys capable of being the go to guy when called for.
He doesn’t need to be. Jackson can probably jump to 10. Newton can get 10-12, Alleyne averaged just under 10 in the ACC.
We could have 4 guys averaging double figures. It wouldn’t be the first time.
we’ve almost always had two guys that combine to average 28+.
It can, and likely will happen; but it doesn’t mean we’ll get where we want to be.
We have a go to down low scorer and we need a go to perimeter scorer. We weren't a tournament team those other seasons and the last two seasons we were a Big East semifinal team and a first round exit in the NCAA's. That's not good enough, we shouldn't be aspiring to be like any of those teams.
