I've also never claimed to be some program insider. I have a hard time believing anyone who lives in Connecticut hasn't heard things. I have had the same stories repeated to me enough by different people that it's hard not to take at least some of it at face value.

Just another case of people thinking journalists print every rumor they hear, regardless of whether or not they can substantiate it with sources that will go on the record. I would hope people realize the standards for posting on a messageboard are different than the standards a journalist holds themselves to.

I am a mid level administration with the Med school and have seen Kevin Ollie in Blueback sq before. Never heard anything bad from the people in Blueback Sq or from the administration. This information is coming from somebody who finally admit that he is no insider and got no inside info. I am not happy with the last 2 seasons but I will not sit around and let some fraud attack UCONN with disinformation.

The people I've talked to, both on and off the internet, are lifelong UConn fans. They have no reason to lie. When you hear the same things repeated to you from people who don't even know each other, it would be stupid to put your head in the sand.

Why didn't you tell us sooner? As someone in mid level administration with the Med school, you clearly would be the first know of any behind the scenes drama going on with the basketball program, if there was any.

What a relief! I am absolutely certain that the people in Blueback Square have all the answers. And if they have nothing bad to say the program must be in much better shape than I had thought.
