great read! loved the quotes from tom moore.

i genuinely think he is playing himself into the nba draft. on the ringer's "nba draft show" today they had him going late first round. i know that everyone wants to see him on the team next year, but if we win it all (knocks on wood) i have to believe that he's gone.

If you read the Nahiem article and listen to the media clips of Clingan and others, they talk about Andre like he’s a coach—referring to how hard he is on them (in a good way) and how much he’s taught them about how to approach the game.

I can’t remember ever having someone like that. Kemba was maybe the closest. With Jackson we’re talking about even players that are older than him looking up to him.

Shabazz says hello.

What I've noticed most about Andre this year is the growth of his leadership skills as he's been able harness his basketball skills.. Much more confident and comfortable being vocal as a leader since mid-season. He has also tightened up his handle as he moves up-court and seems to have worked hard at making his passes/assists more catchable.. He and Hawk have a strong non-verbal communication on the offensive side of the ball. They really play off of each other. Poetry in motion.

A credit to Dan Hurley/staff working hard to carve out a niche for Andre and credit to Andre in the variety of ways he can impact a game/stay in his lane/play with joy and energy.. Fun to see the evolution. I expect a big weekend from him.

I think you're right. And it's the right move.

Great article. CJ Moore is very good.
I would like Jackson one more year to teach all of this to Castle. Jacskon can learn other stuff and slide into the point forward position when needed.
Castle doesn't need this stuff. He'll just take the space and attack the rim and draw fouls, get layups. That's not really in Jackson's skillset, but the passing and cutting and stuff is. Can't hurt for Castle to learn a bit, obviously, but he's got a much more developed attacking skillset.

Amazing analysis on solving AJ's issue and using him much better so he's been very good. He just needs to stay out of foul trouble early , and we will be good.

Its night and day difference and credit to Dan Hurley for figuring it out. Like we all saw him moving toward the basket far more and even attacking it but no one here pointed out the why and how and now we know how it all works and i tell you this this strategy puts a lot of pressure on opposing teams and sure does explain Hawks recent ascent to the level hes at. I know this is dumbing it down quite a bit but what theyre doing now puts opposing defenses in a bind where its either single cover Sanogo and get scored on, double him and he dumps it off to AJ who will be in position to go right up or if a third defender moves to help youll get a steady diet of 3s from Hawk, Newt or AK. This also explains why Alleyne has also been terrific as of late. I think once this team figured this out they just needed time and repetition to make it work and it seems they are running this on all cylinders. Its no fluke. This team with the way it plays defense and now seems to have figured out their identity on offense are going to be extremely difficult to stop. Good luck not getting blown out.

His instincts on the court are incredible. That play he made on the last play of the first half was something I can't imagine any other player in America could make.
It also took a sizeable chunk of Gonzaga's heart out.

Mark Few will be seeing that play in his nightmares the entire offseason.

It's exactly the reason Andre makes opposing coaches poop their pants. There is no way they can stop it, nothing they can do about it, and they don't have anyone like that on their side.

When I saw that I was more impressed than I’ve been with any of his dunks, blocks, or passes. He was like the flash. That may be his new nickname. The Flash.
