OMG Collier is taller than DJB but shorter than KLS, but then again it depends on what kind of shoes they are wearing... :)

I'm betting all 3 are taller than Bria Hartley, regardless of whether she's really 5'7" or 5'9"... ;)

Freshmen getting crash course on life at UConn

"They came to UConn because they want to be like Stewie (Breanna Stewart), they want to be like Dee (Diana Taurasi) or Maya (Moore) or whatever the case may be, that is all well and good until your (butt) is buried on the bench because you are struggling, now reality hits you in the face," Auriemma said. "They have it and they understand it, they know they have to earn it. These three as a group and as individuals, they are pretty impressive."

"(Collier) competes really hard every possession and has skills, when I watch her now she does things that I didn't even know she could do. These guys are coming into college with the right mix of stuff you need to be really good."

I like the sound of this. Competing hard on every possession will get NC a lot of PT.

One little side note from Geno via Jim Fuller:

Auriemmma said Courtney Ekmark, who played sparingly as a freshman, “looks like a different person” heading into her sophomore season.

Not sure exactly what that means but it sounds encouraging.
I read this as well just a short while ago and became increasingly very excited. As fans, I don't think we have embraced Courtney as we have other players. Granted the leg brace did not help, knowing that GENO says she is a different person makes all the diference....anxious and excited to see her sophomore campaign.

I am really happy to read that Courtney Ekmark is looking good early. I am a big Ekmark fan. She was hurt early in training last year and never got rolling . Its nice to see she is in Storrs early and getting ready for the season.
