Agreement was Paris & LA would each get one of '24 and '28 (no other bidders - basically nobody else wanted it). Paris said, "2024 or nothing" so they got it.

Well Paris had the 1924 games so it would/will be the 100th anniversary of that. Makes sense. Good deal for both.

He said he told her, after being nagged to eat his broccoli, "Mom, I'm President of the United States now - I don't have to eat my broccoli if I don't want to." He's still kicking at 93 (although not doing that well lately - possibly should have listened to his mother...)
