I'm convinced one reason he took the job is that he could come in and make coaching Job 1. The man is a true coach and coaches want to coach.Coach Moras feet are firmly on the ground and his mind is focused on the moment. Talented Coach Motivator Communicater and Administrator. Fun to watch him do his thing.
I think he looked at the pile of smoking rubble that was Connecticut football, looked at the facilities, university support, and state support and said "I can fix it." Time will tell if that was correct, but things are looking pretty good so far. (I think being a former pro coach helped him to pivot quickly and successfully to the world of de facto free agency in college football. That's been a big help.)I'm convinced one reason he took the job is that he could come in and make coaching Job 1. The man is a true coach and coaches want to coach.
