This is a best case scenario type of situation. These two teams have a few things in common, not many, but the the things that stand out

2007-2008
1) Coming off of a horrible season
2) Started the season off with some tough losses (Loss vs. #3 Memphis @ MSG) and (loss vs. #19 Gonzaga in Boston)
3) Started out conference play with some tough L's (@ ND, @ Gtown, Roy Hibbert 3, and Home vs. Providence)

This team started winning after the Providence loss because of a few things.
#1) AJ Price emerged as a top PG in the country
#2) Jerome Dyson got suspended and Craig Austria came into the starting lineup and the team started clicking
#3) Curtis Kelly was benched for Gavin Edwards and that led to him transferring as soon as the season ended

So where am I going with this? We need to string together 10 straight wins. I don't care how they do it, but it needs to be done. I'll settle for 7 or 8.

^ Yeah but you can't prove that and it's just your opinion.

Can't prove that? U serious?

ND and G Town lost in the 2nd round, Providence didn't make the tournament. Temple and Tulsa can be a 2nd round team? Will they? Who knows? Can't predict that stuff.

the good ole days

If you're inferring one of our players gets arrested and transfer because of alcohol and drugs just to string together 10 wins, any rational human would assume you are a fan of John Calipari.

Just like a Hurricane could hit Storrs this morning, can't predict it so it may happen.

I think the OP has the 2nd best avatar on this board

The 2007-2008 team was still somewhat of a young team. This current roster has a lot of individual experience. That team struggled and was up and down through mid January like we have seen this year. They couldnt get that "signature win" until they beat Marquette at Gampel who was ranked somewhere around 15th in the country at the time. You could tell they turned the corner after that win because of how well they played the rest of that season. It feels like this team is ready to break out and go on a run like that season. If only AJ Price stayed healthy in that San Diego game...
