The 1-3-1 zone

In the big east you put your most undersized and unathletic guard in the back... Good luck.

Michigan did it for years. It's an effective zone. The big in the middle is the one defending the rim.

We managed to go to the only zone that doesn't stop dribble penetration. Help me make sense of this.

It is also a terrible rebounding zone.

It was fine with Jackson at the top and Clingan in the middle. Without that length and athleticism in those two spots, it's a bad choice. Ideally it would only come out with something like:

Jackson
Hawkins, Clingan, Newton
Alleyne or Diarra

But that takes away the best attributes of Alleyne and Diarra.

Why can’t he just be normal and do a simple 2-3 or 3-2. Let’s get a basic zone down before playing this porous Nonsense

Stop the penetration !!!
Also rest the one on one players so they have some energy to play offense

Seriously I’m very sad to say Hurley now is the problem He has the horses but I guess he can’t coach them
Losing to St J was pathetic
And horrible to watch
