Sorry guys - I am not satisfied with the offense - it was really horrible. Have we set our standards so low - that this is acceptable ?

Nobody thinks that is acceptable.

But listening to Wain he said the rain was worse than USF last year. And Tulane couldn't do anything either. So I'm not going to look at this as anything other than a win and move on.

I'll give the offense a pass, somehow managed over 200 yards in that slop plus still got the W. We are 5-5 it's acceptable today.

TV didn't do weather justice. This was Forrest Gump rain. Team played great. Didn't turn ball over, forced Tulane to drive.

This was a huge win for the team. They had to stay disciplined for 60 Mon in all three phases of the game. And they did.

The win this year is as high as the loss was low last year.

Kudos for the coaches and players for fighting through the Mess..

I was at the USF game last year and if it was worse rain than that, I'll say the team played well considering we didn't have any turnovers.... People seem to forget what this team looked like last year... if they are willing to say that this team hasn't made SIGNIFICANT progress....

Hi Chief,

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but unlike basketball, football is mostly played outdoors. Natural phenomena such as rain and wind make it very difficult to develop a passing game. As you watch more football, this will become more clear. Hope this helps!

Nothing like a known liar showing up to be critical of a win.

Good stuff.

It saddens me to think of how many FB forum frequenters missed out on that infamous, legendary thread.

He had a separate lying thread on the football board. It's why 11:11 is an ongoing joke.

Is this the Drummond nonsense? I don't think I ever actually got the details on that.

He also made a thread adamantly insisting that our games this year were going to be at 11:11 A.M., and nobody could convince him otherwise.

I was there for that one. :)

Short and sweet.

He claimed Drummond was texting him to hang out and Drummond was tweeting from Michigan an hour later.

As Mama Gump said, "You have to do the best with what God gave you." Thanks for shedding a positive light on the game, and our Huskies' victory. Go UCONN!
