Wow! Got a pass from my wife for Thanksgiving so I get to go to Vegas. Three of these teams may (will) be in the final four in Phoenix

Tickets for each session are remarkably cheap. I only have to stay in Griff City one night; on the way up I'll spend the night in Kingman and on the way home also in Kingman which will minimize the cost. I'm considering staying a little longer for the UNLV tournament which prior to the season looked like a great one but now features four teams with losing records: UNLV, UNI, NAU and Creighton.

Duke could pull it off and it wouldn’t be the most surprising thing in the world, but that matchup has lost some luster since the season started. I’m mostly intrigued to see how Edwards and Fournier handle each other. They have similar frames and games.

I think UCLA/Texas is (and was) the more compelling matchup. Betts is a superior player to Oldacre, but Texas is one of the few teams who can match Betts’ size 1:1. I don’t really see a ton of matchup advantages for either side. If you have to handle Booker and don’t have a Bree Hall or Kennedy Smith type available, there are worse options than Gabriela Jaquez. I’m not nearly as high on Kiki Rice as some but she’ll have a size advantage over Rori Harmon. I’m inclined to go Texas because they’re more athletic and slightly deeper, but UCLA has tested themselves several times already this season and won. I think it’ll be close.

ESPN’s matchup predictor gives Texas 64% winning odds. That seems a bit lopsided to me, but it’s no Massey anyway.
