Nice dunk to get UC on the board…he’s referenced it in interviews, but he does look much more athletic this year. The kind of game we continue to get from our senior leader. Hit a dagger three to put us up 11 with 3-minutes left which sealed the game up. #Legend

Some athletic takes down low and five first half assists(!) including a cross-court frozen rope to J Stew for three. A late first half block that might still be on the move. Still think he’s hobbled but he looked very good out there, especially going up against that UT big.

First collegiate start, showed his arsenal early with a deep three, then a nice turn-around jumper. His one-handed volleyball pass off a Solo miss was something you see from high IQ players. Not sure why he wasn’t in at the end of the game and surprised we didn’t run more action for him. That being said, I can’t take my eyes off him when he’s on the court and (unrealistically) expect every shot he puts up to go in.

A lot of good looks from deep, shot just not falling. And the one bad look from 40-ft went in, go figure. He was ok on D and a few nice takes to the basket. Didn’t really have much of an impact other than that timely long-shot. There was a lot of pre-season hype about him being on AA and All-BE radars. Gonna need more than this.

What is it 4-5 bad games in a row now? It’s gone from anamoly, to pattern, to issue. We saw him close out that BYU game and had a Trip-Dub not long ago, so he’s got it. Just think he’s playing tight. It reminds me of A-Jax in January of ’23 when he just couldn’t put it together for like a month. Coaches made a few tweaks and you know the rest. When he makes good plays, he looks like “The Guy”, just made a lot of sloppy plays to nullify the good ones. I love Malachi, but Demary needs to be our closer.

Heck yeah! Very nice game, looked engaged and was flying around the court. He’s a roll player on this team and would probably be starting on many other high-major teams. If we get this version of him the rest of the year, would be hard to keep him out of any “6th-Man” awards.

Tough matchup for him on the UT big and was the victim of one or two head-scratcher foul calls. Not the flashiest game we’ve seen from him, but I’ll chalk it up to low usage and a tough matchup. Having said that, did everything we need our back-up center to do and can’t ask for anything else.

Stepped up when Silas wasn’t getting it done. His assist numbers are really impressive… was he this level of assist-maker at Dayton? He’s such a deceptive player to me. The way he moves and dribbles looks uncoordinated, but he makes the right decisions at the right times and that really all that matters. Free Throws. FREE Throws. FREE.

Not much in the first half other than a lazy TO.
Halfway through the 2nd,,forced a TO on the UT big then picked it off on the next play for a breakaway dunk. Low usage and graded to scale.
