I'm all for waiting to give a coach enough time to bring in his own recruiting class but Charlie Strong has been a joke. Texas should be top 5 every year and they don't even look like a D1 level team now.

Texas has been out recruited for years. TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma, and A&M get better players. Maybe Texas Tech, too.

IMHO, Texas is just too big. There are too many people involved, expectations are too high, etc. And the last AD hire set them back. It's just a giant cluster.

Art Briles and Gary Patterson run their programs efficiently and no one gets in their way.
