Not the prettiest start for either team. It took Houston almost 6 minutes to score, but somehow they're only down 12-10.

Houston has a ton of quickness and looks to force a bunch of turnover and shoot a lot of 3s.

Yep... watching. First time actually seeing them play a full regular season game. Other games have either been on the Big 10 network..... on ESPN+ (froze up technical difficulities), paid suscription (holiday tourney), or during a NFL Panther game.

I watched part of the UH men's team's first game in the Fertitta Center last Sunday, in which they upset Oregon. That game officially drew over 7,000 people.

The women's debut in the new arena, meanwhile, may not have 10% of that (hard to tell for sure). Such is life for most women's teams.

I remember that Michigan State vs Miss State 2nd round matchup in the tourney a few years ago. The Green MSU had to play on the road as a higher seed.

Ha yes I remember that guy. The maroon MSU advanced on some questionable calls and Suzy Merchant was salty about it. And then in the next game Vic's crew lost by 60 to someone.

Yeah, seeding and host sites still need a lot of work. It would be nice if they could all be neutral court.
