20. Discovery of oil in Texas and Oklahoma
22. If I recall correctly, it was essentially a draw - but, it cost hundreds of thousands of deaths, injuries, and illnesses
24. Another good question - depends on what size constitutes a city, but, I'd guess Yuma, AZ
25. Kitty Hawk, about this time of year.

20.. Worthy, Pinot, but not the chief reason, which is not related to other sources of energy.

then, I'd venture technology of some sort - development of mechanical digging machinery, like the steam shovel.

15. Georgia and Armenia are right around there. Ukraine is too, but kinda north.
19. I'm gonna guess tennis, just seems like something he would play.
23. I know the Maccabees won and rededicated the Temple, but can't remember who they defeated.
24. Gotta be in the Sunshine state. Miami?
25. Kitty Hawk

19. high jump
25. Really??? Kitty Hawk

14. Perry
15. Uzbekistan
15. Russia
15. Ukraine
17. Drink milk
19. High jump
20.Oil production
24. Tucson AZ
25. Kitty Hawk

22. Not much, geographically, but it resulted in horrific casualties. The Germans launched
a major offensive in that sector, and the French successfully resisted - " they shall not pass"
(ne pass pas?). Made a hero out of Marshall Petain (until he made the wrong choice
in World War II).

23. Babylon.

22. Like everyone else - lots of dead and dying people. In many ways the First World War was an exercise in the world learning what the US learned during the Civil War - that attacking entrenched positions is both futile and accompanied with high casualties. Add in the poison gas of WWI (which killed a great uncle) and it is just too sad.

24. I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it isn't Tucson, where I live. I don't really think it is Yuma, either - Yuma is mostly hot. Maybe a city like Las Vegas.

25. Kitty Hawk. Early December, IIRC, 19 aughts.

14. - 19. No idea
20. Mining equipment
22 Germans lost
23. Egypt
24 Anchorage
25. Kitty Hawk

14..Rick Santorum...how quickly also-rans are forgotten.

15..Meyers has Georgia on his mind, but without a sense of certainty. So typical.

16..Dish only comes awake over pop music, but where would we be on this question without him? The Who's "Love
Reign O'er Me".

17..Literally window-licking that we call window shopping.

19..VAUC & geordi team up for the high jump.

18..Induces abortion.

20..Mountaintop removal and strip mining seriously reduce employment.

21..Isn't it Romantic?

22..It is considered a French victory in warding off the German attack. Give ed4 a reading.

23..Greece

24..Yeah, down here we are called the Sunshine State, but don't believe everything you read.
And Knights, how does a city get "hot"? Why by getting sun!!!! Pinot has Yuma.

25..Now I want all of you to PM geordi that you approve of some easy questions. Such an elitest he is, but he himself can't answer 10 of the 12 questions in part B. Geordi NEEDS easy questions, by golly. Anyway, as thousands of you answer, it's Kitty Hawk.

Now you miss only one in "A", but the results in "B' scream out that 1/2 are blown. Most disturbing.
