i think Tennessee got a real good one in Cooper.

What does this game tell Tenn. fans?
Well there was no stream of the game. I followed it on Twitter. I see Jones had a good game. She led the team in scoring. With her athletic ability will help this year. Russell went against two players taller she still got 12 points. Most came in the second half. I think she is improving. Moore had 12 boards also.
It's still early but I think these games will help. More than just starting in November.

The Cameroon game told me that they were playing in August. :p Apparently the gym was in the 90's and both the court and ball had issues with being slippery. Russell is aggressive which is nice to see. She won't be able to put it on the floor as much as she likes too, especially against smaller teams. Nared and Jones in the Cameroon game were all over the place. Nared is going to be a nice scoring option for us and Jasmine is going to be a defensive gem as we have always thought. She still makes questionable decisions on the offensive end but at the same time seems to be more confident. Cooper will be a starter by the end of the year IMO. She makes things happen. Draya or Jordan will play an Ariel like role eventually (comes off the bench, gets starter minutes). MeMe is going to be a defensive specialist for us as well.

I will be shocked if Tenn doesn't have drama issues. Way too many talented players that will want to be on the floor and not enough minutes for everyone.

Same could be said about UCONN (many talented players...not enough minutes) but you guys seem to manage it. I have no doubt that we'll be ok in that department at least, too.

The team will reap several benefits from these games in Italy. First, the team is getting experience with the four quarter system and with international rules. Secondly, we are playing without scouting reports which means the players and coaches have to make quick in-game adjustments. Third, it provides an opportunity for the freshmen to play and bond with the team before the season starts. All of these experiences will have a positive impact on the team. By the way, Tennessee has yet to play in orange uniforms--white and navy so far. LOL

I wouldn't be surprised to see three or four guards on the floor at times. Since there are More guards than post players. For example we could see DeShields, Cooper, Carter, and Reynolds all on the floor at times.

Haven't you heard? Tenn Athletic Director Hart has decided orange has to go because it hasn't produced much success lately. He said blue and white is the color associated with winners. Let the wardrobe transition begin Vol fans!!:)
