The Lady Vols put up Grinnell College numbers! Paul Westhead and David Arseneault would be proud. And the scary part, they are just getting warmed up! They are in the early part of the season, still learning this system. Once they get adjusted and find a few more options to take advantage of, watch out SEC and NCAA tournament teams.

Seriously? They played an 0-12 team. I’m not saying the Vols won’t be good, but this was the equivalent of taking candy from a child and bragging about it. I’ll hold judgment until they play better competition.

I would certainly think they could take the one at A&M too. I've been down to watch them a couple of times this year and they've got several leaks that still haven't been patched up.

I watched Tennessee for the first time last night. I’m really not being facetious, but there’s really no offense or defense - it’s just chaos. There is pressure, but if you get the ball past half court there’s people open all over the court. For the most part it’s just one on one bb. They drive it into the lane and shoot or kick out. That was all I saw. On defense it’s just one on one - no rotation or switching…if they get beat it’s a layup. Am I wrong?

Given their schedule so far, it’s difficult to know what to make of the Lady Vols. Their new HC has generated a lot of excitement among the faithful. But so far this year, their best wins were against an unranked FSU by 2 pts in Knoxville and vs IMO an overrated Iowa team at a neutral arena in Brooklyn.

TN next 4 games vs Richmond, Winthrop, Tulsa and TX A&M should all result in wins for the undefeated LV’s. But after that, “Cupcake Season” is over. OK, TX, LSU, SC, MS, UConn and even Vandy will present a challenging gauntlet that will determine whether TN is a contender or a pretender.
