Caldwell is not typically effusive but she seemed impressed by Pauldo in her media Q&A. When a coach mentions a freshman’s biggest hurdle will be the grind of the long season, they’re ready to contribute right away.

I like Caldwell. Of course I liked Kellie too, even though she was doomed from the start. But Kim is taking a style of play and winning with it AND recruiting with it. She may end up leaving the pressing style behind. But probably only after she’s been able to build a program with it.

I think Kellie is a good coach. She is not a elite coach. I think Caldwell can lead Tennessee back to championships.

Plus the SEC schedule. This team should be ready for NCAA tournament.
