I thought Harper was a good, not great, hire but one the school seemed destined to make. I've used the phrase "stopped the bleeding" because she did in fact get them back on stable ground but now in year 5 there seems to be no upward trajectory, plus the recruiting has been abysmal. Right now she doesn't have the players on the roster to compete with top program and that's what the fan base and alumni want.

UT still has a tremendous amount of support and history. The patience is wearing thin and I've pretty much reached the conclusion this is who Harper is unless she makes significant adjustments to her staff and philosophy. The AD has a tough job this spring to evaluate if she will get another chance or if she will be told to move on.
