18/48 from three is actually pretty good as a team. 29/72 is chuckeresque, though.

Yeah, it was a lot of bricks being thrown out there. I was looking more at the 3-point shooting. I know the System requires taking a lot of 3-point shots but usually you have a pretty decent 3-point shooting team or a certain player(s) having that "Green" light to shoot those types of shots.

The Lady Vols are getting to the meat of their schedule. Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and UConn. Follow that up with Georgia and South Carolina. Seven tough games.

Yes I think the team is getting better. The Arkansas game all five freshman played a part. Civil looked really good. If this team puts it all together. This team will be really good.

While I did listen to Vic Schaefer whine in his post game presser about how the SEC has a vendetta against him (really an unbecoming moment for him), I would offer that the SEC was paid handsomely to give Tennessee a very soft beginning of Conference play with Florida, Auburn, Miss St and Arkansas. But now comes an interesting trio of Alabama, Kentucky and Ole Miss. I think at best they go 1-2 and possibly 0-3 during this stretch. The real guess will be how absent will our erstwhile LV fan be when this team loses?

The SEC is tough. There will be games against the top teams. As far as Tennessee. The game against Arkansas.
Tennessee played without Cooper. I think if given the game was early in the season. It probably would have been much closer. If it was played earlier in the season.

TN beat Arkansas. The LVs are gradually improving.
So much for the good news.

And the flip side?
Arkansas is a pitiful team. Beating them by just a few baskets is marginally better than losing to them, but it is, as they say, “chalk” and no big deal.

I will say this about Arkansas. They have played four SEC games. All of them have been against ranked teams. That's tough enough, but with a first year coach. That doesn't make it any easier. They play Missouri this week. Let's see if they win that game.

So, my LV fan, how many SEC losses do you anticipate now?

I have 7 for sure and a possible 8th.

Kentucky, Ole Miss, SC, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU. And one between at Alabama or home vs. Vandy (and possibly both). That 9-7 or 8-8 puts them 8th or 9th place.....

I thought six losses before the season. I will stick with that. Depending on any serious injuries. Cooper I think should be back next game. If Mia and Civil keep improving. That will certainly help.

I had 6 total before the season. If that holds true.. i say Texas, South Carolina, UCONN, would be the others. Now these next three games will determine a lot.

Not a difficult answer. As presently composed, UConn would win the SEC and TN would finish 2nd in the Big East

UConn would have competitive games against Texas and S. Carolina, winning both. The other SEC teams would, with the possible exception of LSU, present little challenge.

The Lady Volunteers would finish in the top third of the Big East.
They won't finish in the top third of the SEC. Clearly, the SEC is a much stronger conference.

UCONN would probably win the conference with their elite defense along with all the extra fouls allowed. It would be like early Christmas. TN should be able to win the BE, but you’re asking makes me think that you’re not sure.

I don't doubt Tennessee would win the BE.
Uconn in SEC would be more of a competitive conference for them.

UCONN always has played a competitive non conference schedule alongside the BE schedule so the SEC wouldn’t be a big if any meaningful adjustment IMO other than perhaps travel. If conferences wanted UCONN Women they could have made a serious offer instead of blaming UCONN football. Let’s be honest…conferences don’t want that smoke.

Great question! I think UConn would do well if they played a SEC schedule. Maybe suffer 1-2 losses but they would still be UConn and dominate. As for Tennessee in the Big East. I think the Lady Vols would do well in the Big East and suffer a loss or two in the Big East.
