Good to see Georgia actually competing for a change.
 
I don't know if Alex's post is in humor, I'm a little slow on the uptake, but a lot of us on this board are fans of the game in addition to our love of UCONN, We're interested in the progress of EDD, even though she she turned us down, we're interested in the tragedy at UTENN and how the team is playing, we're interested in how Muffit has got that team firing on lots of cylinders, we're interested in the terif young woman at Stanford and I'm getting so tired of the snide remarks and the moaning of what would it be if EDD was here and how many more trophies we'd have.
There's nothing much on the site today and Micky calls a good game.
It's the game...Woman's College BB!!!
 
I watch and post because both of these teams are a potential opponent in the NCAA tournament. The world of WCBB does not end with UCONN. I like to judge other teams play relative to what I see our team do game in and game out. Information is a powerful tool!
 
I think Alex's joke was about the subject line of the thread, which is what we use for UConn games, no criticism implied. Yes, we do follow other teams but usually threads are mostly like the OSU-Minny game one, where someone catches a score and starts a thread. But it's unusual for us to anticipate a game and start a thread devoted to it.
 
After Alex's post, there is a little smiling face, just in case people didn't get it.

And more unusal for someone that hates Tennessee threads to start it.
 
Hey.. I actually just read on the Summitt that CT Whitey is battling cancer and wanted to let him know he is in my thoughts it prayers. We lost JumpingJackFlash this year and it SUCKS.
 
BTW, I'm not able to watch this game (may watch later on ESPN3), but I heard Burdick and Bass would be starting instead of Manning (or Baugh) and Simmons. I also see on my cell phone that the LVs opened up a big lead in the second half. Was that lead opened with the new starting lineup or some other configuration?

i expected a bit more of a smackdown. sure the final margin was 17 but it was a 12 or so point game with about a minute left. i never thought tennessee was in danger of losing the game. i will say i actually saw some offense run by tennessee today. some crisp passing and ball movement. but there were also a good number of mystifying decisions on offense as well. then again, there's not a team out there this year who plays perfect games for 40 minutes. solid win for tennessee.
 
Georgia short handed because of injuries. They played like they were trying to conserve energy to last the entire game. It didn't work. Probably would have been close if they were a full strength.

game thread or piss on Tennessee thread...same thing (shrugs)
