10 minutes left

Temple - 61
Memphis - 59

On ESPNU

Going back and forth now with 4 min left. Memphis up 72-71.

And we have a tie game with 30 seconds left. Temple's ball with 21 on the shot clock. Timeout right now.

Oh man...Temple got the offensive board, and could've held for the last shot. But the dude threw up an off-balance shot immediately.

Temple had 7 seconds left when that guy threw up that fadeaway

Think Goodwin got lucky with the jump ball. Looked like a travel.

Temple trying so hard, bad teams just find a way to lose.

Memphis went 9-21 at the FREE-throw line (43%)

That's the only reason it was that close.

Now 21-6 (10-4 AAC)

We really gotta beat SMU and Cincinnati at home. Kinda scares me that a flakey up and down Memphis team is the 2nd best team we've beat this year.

They obviously need to win those games to bolster their resume and to keep the momentum going but there's no reason to downgrade the Memphis wins. Memphis has beaten Louisville in Yum, beat Ok State on a neutral floor back when Ok State was whole and still had their starting C who has since torn his achilles tendon, played Florida to a one possession game on a neutral floor, and really have no bad losses unless you want to factor in margin of defeat in the OK State, SMU, and Cincy losses. Memphis is a good team, they should've handled Temple with ease but they're no longer the same team that goes down easy to any good team like they've showed in the past couple of years with this core group.

I think Temple has shown actual improvement, which is why the game was closer (and they played us better the second time around). Their efficiency has been going up, and they're almost in the top 150 in kenpom. Also, their offensive efficiency is not in the top 90. They're more dangerous than their record, mostly because, of all the dreck teams, they have the best coach.
