COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMEDAY

UCONN at No. 25 TEMPLE
• When: Saturday, 7 p.m.
• Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia
• TV: ESPNU
• Radio: WELI-960, WTIC-1080
• Records: UConn 6-5 (4-3 AAC); Temple 9-2 (6-1)

• You should know: UConn could be without Bryant Shirreffs, who has started every game at quarterback this season, after he suffered a concussion in last week’s win over Houston. Receiver Brian Lemelle is not expected to play while starting tight end Tommy Myers suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the Houston game. ... UConn reached deep into the playbook with a double pass resulting in a Garrett Anderson TD throw. And the use of an unbalanced line was key in a game-opening scoring drive against the Cougars. The Huskies could try just about anything to take down a ranked opponent for the second week in a row, which would be a first in program history. ... Senior safety Andrew Adams needs eight tackles to become the 23rd Husky with 250 in his career. ... Temple needs a win to clinch the AAC East Division and earn a spot in the AAC title game. South Florida would play at Houston for the AAC championship if the Huskies win.

• Homecoming: Stratford’s Tyler Matakevich is second in career tackles in Temple history.
