Temple game thread

yeah not sure when it started clicking but they seem like a totally different team

When they got one of their 3 creators back playing well and the rest of the young team started getting more comfortable with how to play.

Like any and every team, esp young team...

Not trying to sound like I'm attacking you, more so the people that couldn't and can't understand that process and it's lack of immediacy.

Pick and rolls? Confident shots inside? Controlling the ball? Team looks totally different last couple games.

This team is starting to play WELL, not just not awful.

And Adams is by no means a finished product, but he's starting to figure out the pace of things and how he can control games, if he makes the right decisions when to attack, when to pass, etc.

Basically, I'm seeing his maturation mentally to where he, similar to Kemba, Bazz, Boat (to a degree) could control the game and take over whenever it's needed.

It's not fully realized obviously, but man that's even more exciting.

As I speak they do a typical 8 point meltdown in 2-3 minutes to keep Temple around.

Facey may low key be the best offensive player on this team. Untapped for so long.

The bigs are playing big tonight, no doubt about it...

Lost their crisp execution and ball movement in the second half...young team losing its concentration. Let's go guys. Refocus and close it out.

Facey with energy is a really useful 4.

Facey playing with this offensive touch and strength finishing, plus his D and rebounding, is an actual weapon.

This is the kind of game where you start to realize the pros of having a smaller team. Only 7 players regularly see the floor (even Vital mainly stays on the bench) and that allows the team chemistry to build very quickly. On top of that, the 6-7 players who see playing time see a lot of playing time so they have more of an opportunity to get better than on a team with a deeper squad. If we beat Georgetown and SMU, there is a good chance we may not lose for a while.

Jackson really putting it together. The inside outside play is reminding of DeAndre.

Runaway game MVP to Facey.

But Adams, Brimah, and Jackson all playing great.

It's tough to have a better first half than Brimah, though. Dude almost had a double-double with blocks...
