Temp Scoreboard in Progress

Went by the Ole Rent this morning. The Temp scoreboard is in progress. They have about 3 pieces of it up. Looks like there is a lot more to go....should be at least.
I couldnt get a good pic for you guys. not much to see and the sun was right at me.
The old husky is still up on the scoreboard. but all BigEast insignia is gone everywhere.

Cody, I think that is the permanent scoreboard. I believe the temp one will come in the form of some type of truck.

This very well could be the temp board....doesn't necessarily have to come on or attached to a truck. I've seen boards like this put together for concerts in one day and taken down the next. It's just a temp board cause they don't own it.....

They're is another thread on this where Husky Insider stated it is the real board.

Seeing that it has been multiple days to get this far, one would think that, by using your example, this would not be the temp board because those can be put up in one day and taken down the next.

I believe he said UCONN was being optimistic it would be done. Something along those lines. I don't think he said he was 100% sure that it would be done.

Really? That's last on my list of priorities. If they can get the permanent board and the ribbons in place for Towson, and it means keeping the old logo facing out of the stadium for a game against an FCS squad......I'll live with it.

I just wanted to mark this down on my calendar as a moment we agreed. The scoreboard/jumbotron far exceeds the importance of the logo outside the stadium. Sure, I'd love to see it changed, but... not at the expense of other things.

With all the activity going on and around the Video Board with equipement - that would be the last thing I replace.

P.S. I hope they put blue LED Strobes in the Husky's eyes!

Appreciating the facetious comment, but if old Jonathan's going maybe they'll slap some National Flag Blue on the long faded scorecard. On the other hand, they can paint the board purple polka dots and rainbows and put Jonathan in a pink tutu if the Huskies beat Michigan, Maryland, Louisville, and Rutgers and go 7-5 or better. Priorities!

Why rush an hourly job....they're in no rush! Cha ching cha ching cha ching as the hours go by! If they need it up by thursday i'd finish wednesday....

#UConnFootball new scoreboard, not a temp, is up and running at #Rentschler Field right now.

Daktronics had an opening to get new #UConnFootball scoreboard up in time for season opener and for it done. New ribbon boards not till #MD
