When I heard DT signed with the Bears, I wondered why? Gould is one of the best kickers in the league. He's a lock.
But this might be a very good move for Teggart for just that reason. Spending a training camp with one of the NFL's best could be a very valuable learning experience. Gould will show him how to approach the game as a pro. And Dave will get his chance to show what he can do in pre-season. It's all about getting some kicks on tape. That seems likely as the Bears should only work Gould just enough to get him ready for the opener.
Hopefully, a couple of guys will kick themselves out of the league in pre-season and DT will show enough get picked up before the regular season.
